5 Little Things That Are Making My Life Easier Right Now

Life with a little one and a full schedule can feel monotonous and draining, so I’ve been paying attention to the small daily things that make everyday life easier and more joyful. These aren’t dramatic changes, just simple things that help me feel more grounded, energized and inspired.

My Weekly Planner

Planning out my week at a glance gives me peace of mind in knowing what I am going to accomplish each day. It takes the guesswork out of the everyday, keeps me focused and allows me to move from task to task with ease. I’ve been loving this weekly planner from Etsy where I stay centered on the top three priority items each day, list of daily to-dos, and track daily habits.

Sculpt Society Workouts

When I can fit them in, these 20-30 minute workouts are short, energizing and allow me to connect with my body without taking a ton of time out of my day. I can complete a video during Jaxon’s naptime or while he does tummy time next to me. These workouts propel my mood and energy while helping me get my confidence back postpartum.

Getting Outside Everyday

Whether it’s our weekly trip to the farmer’s market, an afternoon at the park or a quick stroll around the block, leaving the house and getting fresh air always resets a monotonous day. I have recently made a game of finding new parks and hidden gem spots around Los Angeles with Jaxon. Yesterday, we went to Will Rogers Memorial Park in Beverly Hills and it was a lovely quiet afternoon where Jaxon could play and I journaled a bit. It has also been rewarding seeing Jaxon broaden his little world on our daily adventures.

Nourishing Afternoon Snack

A quick hit of a healthy protein-packed snack in the afternoon has been getting me through the 3pm slump, preventing me from snacking and keeping my energy steady until dinner time. My go-to has been ¾ cup of nonfat greek yogurt and homemade granola.

Morning Prayer Walks with the Dog

Starting my mornings with a calm walk with the dog has been the most grounding part of my day. I don’t bring my phone and allow myself to connect with what is most present for me, bringing whatever comes up to the Lord in prayer. It’s a time I cherish with God and it's amazing how he shapes my day through small daily routines like walking.

None of these are complicated, but together have allowed me to recharge and navigate the day-to-day with more ease. These little things can add up to a big difference. I’d love to know, what is one small thing making your life easier or more joyful right now?
